Freemake Video Downloader is a freeware using which you can download videos from video sharing websites like Youtube, Veoh, Dailymotion etc. The program supports a lot of video portals including Facebook, Google Video, MetaCafe, Vimeo etc.
To download a video, simple copy and paste the URL of the video into the program and click a button to start the download. The program also gives you option of selecting the quality of videos that is stored on the site so that you can choose to download the HD version if available. The video can be saved in its original format or the program can also be used to convert the videos to WMV or MP4 format. Apart from that, the program can also convert to video to mp3 enabling you to make a songs collection from the videos.
The program is easy to use. It is a freeware and works on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 and requires .Net Framework 4.

i think this is going to be my favorite video downloader.
Wow! This is an even better program than the current one that I have, because the current one I have is very limited in the conversion that it does, in fact it only does youtube to mp3!
