MaxMax is a freeware using which you can restrict the size of your maximized windows so that they don’t occupy the whole portion of your screen. This is quite useful when you always want to view some portion of your desktop like the sidebar.

This application has been mainly designed to keep sidebar gadgets visible at all times but it can be used limit the window from any area. To get it to work, you can specify the limits for Top, Bottom, Left and Right corners. If you are using multiple displays, the program will only work on a single display at a time. The program can also be disabled by pressing a certain key which can be configured through the options.

The program is a freeware and works on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.
