Uninstall Anti Virus Software using AppRemover

4 May 2009 2 Comments

Many Anti Virus software or other security software often leave behind a lot of registry entries and program files even after uninstall. This can sometimes make it difficult to install a new anti virus software or install a fresh copy. AppRemover is free software which enables you to uninstall many anti virus and anti spyware products from your PC. So instead of searching for ways to remove the software or downloading some removal tool, you can easily use this.

AppRemover is a stand alone application and requires no install. It supports a lot of security products which include McAfee, Norton, AVG, Trend Micro, Ad Aware, Spyware Blaster etc. This tool will scan the computer system for security software and will display a list of all products that are found. You can then uninstall them all or you can uninstall only the selected ones. This will then remove that security product completely from the Computer with minimal fuss. It supports a lot of applications and suites and it is almost likely that it already supports the one that you are using.

It is free for personal use and supports all the version of Windows from Windows 2000 to Windows 7.

I almost always find just the app I need when I come to this site. I have virus software that I can’t even find in the program removal options, but traces of it are all over the machine. Hopefully this will do the trick at ridding it for good.
